I am starting to get a bit excited about tomorrow as #trulondon will finally be here and it promises to be simply amazing!

If you haven’t been to an unconference before, I wrote a Virgins Guide last year and there are some great posts that have been written recently; Felix Wetzel from Jobsite has done a great post about what to expect which is worth a read:  Science Fiction/Double Feature – The Bill Boorman Show

I am sure I will have about a million action points when the event finally closes on Friday afternoon, as the breadth and depth of knowledge in the room, will be enough to blow my mind for the rest of the year!  However, something really close to my heart is the changing face of recruitment, what this means to customers, suppliers and partners.  As such, I shall be running a track called “New Model Army”

So, what is the March of the “New Model Army” all about?

Over the last few years there appears to have been a surge in different offering s from recruitment companies.  From flat fee, RPO, Agency Brokering & Retained Recruiting, the customer now has a variety of solutions to choose from.  But, do these new models really have the “march” on the market or are they just an old rock band with a new front man?  Could these post punk models even be confusing the customer?

Many of the new model recruitment providers will be at #trulondon next week and it would be great if you, and anyone else with an opinion on the subject, can join us for a sing-a-long (You don’t have to be from Bradford)!   It will make a lively and interesting debate to hear a wide range of views and ideas on the potential market, its development, the threats and the opportunities that this new generation of suppliers face.

Looking forward to seeing you all there (I will be on Bass Guitar) and a BIG THANKS to Bill who will be taking the lead vocals
