#trumanchester: 5 things to do immediately

WOW – What an event!!

I am now totally hooked!  So many great minds discussing & debating so many recruitment topics – social media, blogging, video, job boards, candidate experience, the future, flat fee recruitment, employee branding, ATS, retention etc etc.

Every form of technology was used throughout to tweet, blog, update & film so that the inside and the outside world could keep up with everything.

I will write more later (with some opinions) but my 5 action points to implement within the next 24 hours are:

1. Remove the auto DM on social oomph for new followers.  I got ribbed a few times for our auto DM!  Poll = 100% of voters think auto DM’s for new followers is a bad idea!  Have your vote here!
2. Give the HR Connexions twitter brand a personal identity!
3. Personalise the blog:  Staff profiles, more opinions, keep on track for our target audience & think about the long tail SEO
4. Get a subscribe button on the blog & remind bloggers to subscribe
5. Research “branched out” (something about facebook and job posting…)
